Dermal Fillers

A Dermal Filler is a stabilised hyaluronic acid that is injected into the skin for the purposes of softening fine lines/deep lines, replacing lost facial volume or definition. The key to success and safety with fillers is expert assessment of the face and in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, as well as injector skills.

Areas treated with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers include lips, temples, forehead, tear trough (under eyes), cheeks (mid-face), nose, laughter lines (naso-labials), jawline/chin contouring, necklines as well as hands.

Our expert doctors will ensure that each client receives the highest standard of care in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Treatment Area

The skin under your eyes is some of the thinnest on your body. A deep tear trough can create a shadow that is perceived as a dark circle below the eye. It also creates a division between the lower eyelid and cheek which is an early sign of ageing around the eyes.

A small light, soft filler can be placed in the tear trough/undereye to reduce hollowness in this area that may be causing a ‘tired’ or dark appearance.

Cheek fillers have the power to rejuvenate the skin, restore lost volume, and help make you look younger and more refreshed. This procedure gives more definition to the cheekbone and restores volume to tired-looking skin. Depending on your face, it can be placed as a touch on the midface for volume or lateral contour of the cheekbone for height and definition. This would all be discussed and assessed during your consultation.

Nasolabial lines start at the sides of the nose and extend to the sides of your lips. No matter what age you are, these lines will be shown during facial expressions. These lines become more prominent when people smile and tend to deepen with age. Dermal fillers can be used to reduce and soften the appearance of nose-mouth lines and folds.

Marionette lines also called melomental folds, are creases that extend from the corners of the mouth to the chin. These lines are the result of ageing and other causes. Dermal filler can be used in the area to soften this area
Lip Fillers are the ideal way to restore or add plumpness to the lips. It is a minimally invasive procedure, where filler is carefully injected into the lips that have lost their shape, volume or elasticity. The filler itself is a hyaluronic acid molecule, which is a naturally occurring compound in the body and gives a plumper, fuller lip effect. Lip Fillers are a discreet way to restore volume, hydration, structure, and balance to the lips.
A chin augmentation refers to the refinement or improvement of the contour of the chin area. This can be accomplished by using dermal filler to restore facial harmony to define an underdeveloped chin or give it more prominence.
Jawline Sculpting fillers can be used to define the jawline, resulting in a slimmer, more symmetrical, and enhanced facial profile. A hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler is placed along the jawline to add facial structure for a more defined jaw and slimmer-looking neckline.
Loss of volume in the temples can have a profound impact on the appearance of the face. Injecting dermal filler into the temples to replace volume loss. It can slightly raise the brow and improve fine lines around the eye.

What is the difference between anti-wrinkle treatment & dermal fillers?2024-05-07T11:46:47+00:00

Dermal fillers are used to ‘fill’ facial lines, wrinkles and folds or add volume deep into the skin to enhance facial contours and features such as lips.

Anti-wrinkle treatment works differently by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles occur as a result of facial movement rather than loss of volume in the skin.
